  • The application is now open for interested participants of the 2019 J-pop Anime Singing Contest, which will be held on February 16, 2019, at the SM Cinema Centerstage, SM Mall of Asia.

    The Embassy of Japan’s annual J-pop Anime Singing Contest gives solo or duo singers a chance to win a three-day trip to Japan.

    All amateur Filipino solo or duo singers with passports valid until September 2019 are welcome to join the 10th J-pop Anime Singing Contest. However, former 1st to 3rd place winners are not eligible to join the contest.

    Contestants must choose songs by Japanese artists either J-pop or songs used in anime.

    Applicants must submit the following:

    • Filled-out Application Form
    • Photo
    • 50-100 word write-up about the performer
    • Photocopy of valid ID (school, company or government issued ID)
    • Short Description of the songs (Artist, Title, Lyrics)
    • Link to a YouTube uploaded video performance of one or two songs (not exceeding three minutes)

    All entries must be e-mailed to jicc-mnl@mofa.go.jp on or before January 11, 2019. Other than the three-day trip for two to Japan, the winner will also take other exciting prizes from the sponsors.
