  • Globe, DTI Launch 1-DTI Consumer Hotline
  • Businessmen and consumers in the Philippines may now utilize 1-DTI (1-384), a free consumer hotline number for Globe prepaid and postpaid subscribers, since its launch last August 9, 2018, at SM Megamall.

1-DTI is the product of another collaboration between Globe Business and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in an effort to ensure the protection of consumers against unlawful trades, among others. It was first introduced alongside the DTI Consumer Corner and DTI’s new consumer email address (ConsumerCare@dti.gov.ph). The Consumer Corner is eyed to be put up in several SM Supermarkets.

“Complaints, policy advisory services, and inquiries” can be raised using this hotline, which will connect you directly to DTI–the department primarily concerned in regulating both foreign and local transactions.

Further, 1-DTI, which will receive calls from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, also seeks to contribute to reaching United Nations Development Programme Goal No. 9 by innovating through technological means to achieve economic advancement. This was also supported by Globe President Ernest Cu, who stated Globe’s commitment to “strive for excellence” and to play a part in nation-building.

This is not the first time Globe and DTI worked hand in hand to give better services to the country. In 2015, Globe Telecom reached out to DTI-Region 2 for assistance regarding Batanes’ wireless services as they looked to provide better data access to the people of Batanes.
