Dr. Abygail Recio is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist by profession. She took up B.S. Medical Technology as her pre-medical degree at the Philippine Women’s University and her doctorate degree at Perpetual Help University. She had her residency training at Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center. She has been a medical doctor for about 16 years now.
She decided to take Medicine after following her own dreams of becoming a specialist and because of her love of service to others. She considers taking care of her patients as a commitment and a calling. While she holds regular clinic hours, she also attends to various emergency situations as they arise. Currently, Dr. Abygail Recio is a Medical Specialist II under the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sta. Ana Hospital.
As for her advice for people who want to pursue a career in the medical field, she says “Being a doctor is fun, has its ups and downs, has lots of perks, but be ready to make a lot of sacrifices. You must love your work, have patience, and have the willingness to sacrifice your time for being in the medical field is not about money but about your passion as an individual”.
Dr. Recio offers the following services: Obstetrical and Gynecological Services which include prenatal care and delivery, general women’s health concerns, Maternal Care, examination and treatment of the reproductive system, examination and treatment of women’s diseases, malignant cysts and infertility, etc.
