The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) sent out a traffic advisory last August 1 declaring a stretch of Roxas Blvd. closed to all traffic on August 8, 2017. In particular, they will close the southbound stretch from P. Burgos St. to Buendia Ave. from 2 pm to 9 pm.

This is to give way to delegates and guests of the ASEAN Minister’s Meetings from August 2 to 8 and the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the ASEAN on August 8 at the PICC.

They’ve also closed off the area around PICC and limited its access to ASEAN delegates and guests going to PICC and Sofitel Manila since August 2. Alternate routes have been posted on their official Facebook page and Twitter account.

A truck ban will also be in effect along the same stretch of Roxas Blvd. on the same day, with affected trucks being advised to take EDSA and the South Super Highway to reach the port area.
