Typhoon Nina exits Philippine Area of Responsibility Tuesday night

Typhoon Nina (International name: Nock-ten) has weakened and continued to move away from the Philippine area of responsibility early Tuesday morning.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), it is possible that the storm will exit the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) tonight, and will be 340 kms north of Pagasa Island, Palawan by Wednesday morning.
Typhoon signal warnings have also been lowered as ‘Nina’ moves away from the country.

However, PAGASA said residents could still experience moderate to heavy rains for areas within 300km of the typhoon’s diameter. Also, sea travel over the seaboards of northern Luzon and the western seaboards of Central Luzon were still deemed risky on Tuesday.
