President Rodrigo Duterte is the “Most Googled Person” in the Philippines for 2016, according to the list released by American newsweekly magazine TIME.

As per TIME’s description, President Duterte of the Philippines is known for “waging deadly war on drugs.” The list created by TIME was based on the data provided by Google, which presents the list of the persons who were googled the most for each country. This list only includes people who are alive.
For this year, President-elect of the United States Donald Trump became the “top trending person in 88 countries,” not only in America but also in countries such as Afghanistan, Greece, Spain, United Arab Emirates, and South Africa.
For other countries, a mix of politicians, celebrities, and athletes were their Most Googled Person. Swimmer Joseph Schooling is Singapore’s most googled person, American model Gigi Hadid for Montenegro, motorcycle speedway rider Nicki Pedersen for Luxembourg, and Golden State Warriors basketball player Zaza Pachulia for Georgia were those among on the list.
