The following projects which were the construction and repair of classroom building of Dataya Elementary School, construction of classroom school building for Upper Bagoinged Elementary School, and construction of classrooms for Sapakan Elementary School, were provided an approximately P14.5 million fund by the people of Japan.

According to the EOJ, they hope that the provided assistance would improve the learning environment of children in Mindanao.

Since 2006, Japan has implemented GGP and other ODA projects for conflict-affected areas in Mindanao. In a state visit by former president Benigno Aquino III in Japan, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed his support for efforts by the Philippine government to secure enduring peace in the Mindanao region.
