Metro Manila Malls Adjust Holiday Hours; Now Open at 11 a.m.
On November 18, 2024, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced that 131 shopping malls across Metro Manila will adjust their operating hours to help alleviate traffic congestion.
Starting Monday, malls will open at 11:00 a.m. instead of the previous 10:00 a.m., with closing times to be determined at the discretion of the mall operators. This adjusted schedule will remain in effect until December 25, Christmas Day, as part of ongoing efforts to reduce traffic during the holiday season.
Major shopping malls in the Metro have implemented this adjusted schedule. The following are the holiday mall hours of major shopping malls in Makati and Taguig City.
- Greenbelt:
- November 18-23 & December 26-30:
11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (Sunday to Thursday), 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (Friday to Saturday)
- November 18-23 & December 26-30:
- Glorietta:
- November 18-December 7 & December 26-30:
11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Monday to Thursday), 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (Friday to Sunday)
- November 18-December 7 & December 26-30:
- One Ayala:
- November 18-December 23:
11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Monday to Thursday), 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (Friday to Sunday)

- SM Aura:

11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, malls are also set to implement a restricted delivery schedule, with the exception of those transporting perishable items. Deliveries will be permitted only between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Additionally, mall-wide sales events will be avoided during this period to further minimize disruptions.
The change is expected to help ease the morning rush and provide a more manageable flow of vehicles in Metro Manila, where traffic tends to intensify during the holidays.
