Japan Airlines to Extend Complimentary COVID-19 Cover for International Passengers
Japan Airlines (JAL) has implemented the JAL Covid-19 Cover, as part of its JAL FlySafe program since December 2020, a service that provides reassurance and support to passengers with essential travel needs during the global pandemic.

The service is provided in partnership with AWP Japan (member of the Allianz Partners group) and covers medical costs resulting from the medically necessary COVID-19 testing and any subsequent medical treatment for passengers who test positive during their travels.
Quarantine costs and repatriation assistance are also available for those requiring it after a positive diagnosis. Starting July 1st, 2021, quarantine cover is expanded to passengers suspected of being infected with COVID-19 and required by local authorities to quarantine.
A global 24-hour support line in English and Japanese will also be available to assist customers who may need this service, providing peace of mind throughout their journey.
The JAL Group is continuing to implement key measures against COVID-19 to provide a safe and secure travel experience at the airport and throughout their journey.
