  • The management of several major malls in the Philippines have announced their respective operating hours in NCR plus bubble areas during the week-long enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) on their respective social networking sites.

    Ayala Malls announced on its Facebook page that only essential stores such as supermarkets and banks will remain open during the week-long ECQ. It is also offering free parking to all customers during this period.

    SM Supermalls said only essential stores like supermarkets and pharmacies will remain operational from March 29 to April 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s also offering free parking to customers during the ECQ implementation.

    According to Robinsons Malls Facebook page, its supermarkets will operate from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., while other stores will provide services from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is also offering free parking during this period.

    Shangri-La Plaza said its essential stores will operate between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m during the ECQ, except on April 1 and 2.

    In a Facebook post, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls said its supermarkets, pharmacies, convenience stores, banks, select restaurants, hardware, and other essentials are open to serve from March 29 to April 4.

    Vista Mall announced through its Facebook page that its supermarket, drug stores, convenience stores, banks, courier services, money changer, and remittance services, ATM centers, hardware, and home essentials are open to serve customers from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Malacañang placed Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna under ECQ from March 29 to April 4 to curb the alarming surge in new COVID-19 cases.

    Mall goers are advised to visit the malls’ respective Facebook pages for further announcements on their operating hours.
