Habitat Manila: Beautiful, useful, and accessible furniture since 1964
Known as a shop where functional, beautiful, and affordable furniture and home accessories are found, Habitat Manila can be one of your go-to shops to supply the contemporary demands of your humble abode.
Unique, affordable, and beautifully created home furniture and decorations are just impossible to ignore especially if they match the theme of your rooms — the lure is just too strong when inside the London-based furniture shop that is Habitat. Currently, Habitat Manila has three branches in the Philippines which are located in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, Glorietta 3 in Makati, and U.P. Town Center in Quezon City.
Habitat was founded by a young furniture designer Terence Conran in 1964. It opened its first store in Fulham Road, London on May 11 of the same year. Since then, it has been transforming living space design, combining inspiration with the creation of beautiful interiors.
Conran’s goal to introduce contemporary design to British furniture through Habitat became a rapid success; Habitat has emphasized style and launched new trends, attracting famous personalities. In 1969, Habitat expanded and opened nine more stores in the UK and one in Canada.
The brand constantly broadened, expanded, and experienced a lot of ventures as years go by. Now, aside from its homeland France – in Paris and in the major cities, Habitat is also present in Monaco with 26 stores, in Spain with 4, and in Germany with 5. Their franchise network covers Belgium, Greece, Iceland, Luxembourg, Norway, Turkey, Sweden, the Philippines and Malta and a new store in Qatar will open soon.
In the present, the goal of the brand is to offer as many people as possible the opportunity to furnish and decorate their interiors with ever more innovative, modern and functional articles, in order to create a personal world for each individual.
