Voters Registration To Resume in NCR and Nearby Provinces on September 1
Commission on Election (COMELEC) has announced that voter registration in the National Capital Region (NCR) and four neighboring provinces will resume on September 1, 2020.
In Commission on Elections Resolution No., 10674, resumption of voters resignation will take place nationwide except for areas under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and Modified ECQ. Among the areas that recently lifted to GCQ is NCR and nearby provinces such as Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.

Meanwhile, areas under ECQ or MECQ will continue voting registrations once the enhanced community quarantine has been lifted up.
With the resumption of voter registration amidst the ongoing pandemic, COMELEC advises applicants to download the applications form from www.comelec.gov.ph.
All applicants will also undergo certain safety precautions prior to the registration such as filling out the Coronavirus Self-Declaration Form that discloses information such as travel, contact to people with known infection and symptoms that are currently being experienced.

There will also be a limit of people that will be allowed in the COMELEC office with physical distancing. Registrants are required to wear face masks, face shields and to bring their own pens.
Meanwhile, registrants from the vulnerable sectors such as pregnant women, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens will be provided with express lanes.
To ease worries for registrants, COMELEC will also conduct daily disinfection and decontamination of their premises as well as the machines, furniture, and other equipment touched.
Applications for registration may be submitted from Tuesday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Office of the Election Officer (OEO).
