Schedule of Groceries and Banks Amid Holy Week ECQ

Holy Week is one of the most important observances in the Catholic faith. However, activities for the said religious holiday have been halted as a result of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) effective in many areas in the country.

While the ongoing ECQ has already altered the operating hours of establishments such as groceries and malls, you should also know the changes in hours of essential establishments in line with the Holy Week such as grocery stores and banks just in case you need to go on a supply run any time soon.

Supermarkets

All Day Supermarket 

All branches of All Day Supermarket will continue operations with no closures this Holy Week. They will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily including April 9 (Maundy Thursday) and April 10 (Good Friday).

S&R Membership Shopping

S&R stores will operate from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 8, April 11 (Black Saturday), and April 12 (Easter Sunday). They will be closed on April 9 (Maundy Thursday) and April 10 (Good Friday). Note that this encompasses all of S&Rs warehouses, QCRs, DCs, and the central office. 

Rustan’s

Rustan’s Supermarket and Rustan’s Marketplace will be closed on April 9 (Maundy Thursday) and April 10 (Good Friday).

The schedule for their stores are as follows:

Ayala (CDO), The Grove, Ayala 30th

• April 6 to 8; April 11 to 12 – 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Uptown Mall (Taguig)

• April 6 to 8; April 11 to 12 – 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Metro Stores

In observance of Holy Week, Metro Supermarkets will be closed on April 10 (Good Friday). However, select stores in Metro Manila will be open on April 9  from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. such as:

• Metro Market! Market! Supermarket
• Metro Alabang Town Center Supermarket
• Metro Ayala Malls Feliz Pasig Supermarket

The same applies to provincial stores under Metro Supermarket.

Puregold

All Puregold stores will be closed on April 10. Select stores will be open on April 9.

Banks

BDO Unibank

Select BDO branches will remain in operation from April 6 to 8. However, these branches will be closed from April 9 to 12 (Thursday to Sunday). Operations will resume on April 13.

Metrobank

All Metrobank branches will be closed from April 9 (Maundy Thursday) to April 12 (Easter Sunday). Consumers may still use the Metrobank app to transfer funds, pay bills, and buy load.

PSBank

All PSBank branches nationwide will be closed on April 9 to 10 in observance of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.

Do take note of the following:

• Payroll crediting on April 9 and 10 will proceed.
• Check deposits after the 12 p.m. cut-off on April 8 will be processed on April 13.
• Debiting of accounts with due dates on April 9 and 10 will proceed.
