Businesses and Services Extend Payment Deadline Amid Enhance Community Quarantine

Due to the rising number of cases of COVID-19 in the country, the entire island of Luzon has been put under enhanced community quarantine as mandated by the national government. Establishments and mass modes of transportation temporarily ceased operations while the general public is strongly advised to stay at home.

With this, utility companies and businesses have extended their payment deadlines as part of their service to their customers.

Electricity

Meralco

• 30-day payment extension for Meralco bills due from March 1 to April 14, 2020.

Water

Maynilad Water Services, Inc.

• 30-day payment extension for water bills with due date of March 15 to April 14, 2020.

Manila Water

• 30-day extension for water bills with due dates falling within the quarantine period.

Telecommunication companies

Globe

• 30-day bill payment extension from due date for Globe Postpaid (mobile and broadband) users.
• Globe Rewards points validity extended from March 31 to June 30, 2020.

PLDT-Smart

• 30-day payment extension period for postpaid customers of PLDT Home, PLDT Enterprise, and Smart and Sun Cellular.
• Free calls to emergency hotlines 911 and 8888 for Smart, Sun, and TNT subscribers.

Banks

BDO

• 60-day payment extension for qualified Credit Card, Auto, Home, SME, and Personal Loan customers with due dates of up to April 15, 2020.

BPI

• 30-day grace period for qualified credit card, personal, home, auto, SME, and BanKo NegosyoKo loan clients.

EastWest

• 30-day extension for payment due dates of auto, personal, mortgage, and EEL loans, and credit cards for eligible customers.

Metrobank

• 30-day grace period program for a qualified Car loan, Home loan, and credit card payments.

PSBank

• 30-day grace period on loan payments of qualified Auto, Home, and Personal Loan clients.

RCBC

• 30-day extension for Auto, Home, Personal, and Salary Loan clients in good standing with due dates from March 15 to April 15, 2020.

Security Bank

• 30-day extension of due date for all customers with a Credit Card, Home Loan, Personal Loan, Auto Loan, Business Mortgage Loan, or Business Express Loan with payment due date between March 16 to April 14, 2020, and with current payment status (with no past-due balance) as of March 16, 2020.

UnionBank

• 30-day payment extension (with no late fee) for qualified credit cardholders in good standing with due dates from March 17 to April 15, 2020 as well as housing loan, auto loan and quick loan qualified customers.

Cable

Cignal TV

• 30-day extension from the due date for all Cignal postpaid subscribers.

SKYcable

• 30-day extension of the bill payment period.
