LRT-1 to Carry Out 3-Month Temporary Passenger Traffic Scheme in 2020
Light Rail Transit 1 (LRT-1) is set to implement a temporary passenger traffic scheme in select stations effective from January 4, 2020 to March 4, 2020.
LRT-1 Roosevelt Station
This is to integrate the ongoing construction of the Common Station, also known as the Unified Grand Central Station (UGCS), which set to connect the line systems of LRT-1, Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3), MRT-7, and the Metro Manila Subway.
UGCS will be a centralized hub for four railway lines covering a 13,700-square meter concourse area and is dubbed to be the country’s largest railway station.

In the passenger traffic scheme, all LRT-1 trains will no longer reach the last stop which is the Roosevelt station. Hence, northbound passengers will have to get off at either Monumento or Balintawak stations.
For passengers bound to Roosevelt station, they have to take the Baclaran-to-Balintawak circuit, a special shuttle train that will exclusively take passengers to the Roosevelt Station every 10 minutes.
On the other hand, passengers can also take the Baclaran-to-Monumento circuit if they want to avoid the build-up of passengers in the Monumento station during peak hours.
