Auro Chocolate PH Wins Top 20 Best Cacao Beans in the World
Auro Chocolate was recently recognized by an international award-giving body, making it to the Top 20 International Cocoa Awards 2019 at the Salon Du Chocolat in Paris.

Bringing honor to the country’s cacao sector, Auro Chocolate produces proudly Filipino chocolates made of beans directly sourced from Mindanao.
What makes this brand exceptional is that they buy beans for a higher price with an aim to support and give opportunities to Filipino farmers.
In fact, Auro brought one of their original farming partners, Mr. Jose Sugban, who personally received the prestigious award.

“It’s been a long journey since we started working with Mang Jose who was trained by our resident expert Louie on quality and proper fermentation,” Auro Chocolate said in an Instagram post.

The brand also expressed their gratitude to Mang Jose for his great effort to provide world-class chocolates.
“Thank you to Mang Jose for his hard work, dedication, and motivation to keep getting better! What a great moment for the Philippines and Filipino farmers!” the brand added.
This award is a great accomplishment to the country’s cacao industry, especially that the Philippines was able to make it to the top 20. There were 223 cocoa samples submitted from 55 countries, with 50 entries being shortlisted.
Additionally, Auro Cacao won the first prize at the 11th Academy of Chocolate Awards 2019. Along with them is Bohol’s best Dalareich Food Products.
