By virtue of Republic Act (R.A.) 11409, Pinsal Falls—locally dubbed as Twin Falls of Ilocos Sur—is officially a tourist destination. Not only does it boast of an 85-foot waterfall parted into two, but it also takes pride in the naturally made mini-pools situated at the top.

Also from Ilocos Sur, R.A. 11408 declared Santiago Cove as a tourist spot. Known as Sabangan Cove and Boracay of Ilocos Sur, it features a stretch of white sand and serene waters. Candon City Ecotourism Zone stands as the third newly declared tourist destination of the province, in effect of R.A. 11407.

Not far behind in terms of tourism is the province of Nueva Ecija as R.A. 11406 also hailed one of its mountain ranges, Mount Bulaylay in Cuyapo, as a tourist destination. Mount Bulaylay is home to the longest and tallest zip line of the province.

Through a tourism development plan, the four destinations will be in the care of the Department of Tourism (DOT), in coordination with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and other amenable agencies.
This involves construction, installation, and maintenance of appropriate facilities and infrastructures bound to generally improve the areas. Funding is included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Duterte signed the laws last August 22, but copies of the documents were only disclosed to the press August 29.
