Hotel Okura Manila Welcomes New Sales and Marketing Director
One of Japan’s well-known luxury hotels, Hotel Okura Manila, recently announced the appointment of Ms. Addie S. Capinding as the new Director of Sales and Marketing effective July 15, 2019.
The Japanese luxury hotel is slated to open its doors to the public within the fourth quarter of this year in Resorts World Manila.

Having twenty years of sales and client management experience in the hotel industry, Capinding is all set to take over her new duties as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Hotel Okura Manila.
“I am delighted to be joining the team of Hotel Okura Manila. I’ve been hearing great things and am very excited to collaborate and work with each and everyone in the team. I am positive that with our combined hard work, experience and efforts, we will elevate the luxury hotel experience and service standards of our hotel,” Capinding said regarding her appointment.

She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science from Miriam College. Capinding previously served as the Director of Sales at Discovery Primea and had diverse work experience in the realm of sales and accounts management as she rose the ranks in her twelve years at The Peninsula Manila.
“Together, we will make Hotel Okura Manila into a landmark in Manila as we bring the wonderful fusion of Japanese service and signature Filipino hospitality,” she continued.
On behalf of Hotel Okura Manila, General Manager Jan Marshall expressed his warm welcome for Capinding on being the newest addition to their team. “With Ms. Capinding’s depth of experience in sales and client management in the hotel industry, coupled with her leadership strengths, we have a lot to look forward to and warmly welcome her to the Hotel Okura Manila team,” he said.

Adding to Hotel Okura Manila’s exciting line up of stores and restaurants is their signature fine-dining restaurant, Yamazato.

Set to launch in October, Yamazato is highly regarded worldwide for its authentic Japanese cuisine tailored for discerning palates of diners. They take pride in their time-honored Kaiseki Ryouri, a multi-course Japanese haute cuisine meticulously crafted by Executive Chef Rinnosuke Mouri.
In 2002, at the Hotel Okura in Amsterdam, Yamazato was the first Japanese restaurant in Europe to earn the much-coveted Michelin star.
