Japanese Furniture Brand Conde House Comes to Manila
Premium wood furniture brand Conde House officially opened its Manila doors last Friday, April 26 at the second level of Casa Ligna in Makati City.
Hailing from Hokkaido in Japan, Conde House has been creating unique furniture pieces using the wood from the forests of Hokkaido for 50 years now.
The establishment of the first Manila outlet was a collaboration between the Japanese company and the local furniture company Design Ligna as part of the latter’s celebration of their 50th anniversary this year.

The launch was spearheaded by Conde House President Tetsuya Fujita and Design Ligna CEO Nicolaas de Lange. The momentous event was also graced by the Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Mr. Koji Haneda.

In his opening remarks, President Tetsuya Fujita emphasized how the company wants to promote not only the products themselves but also Japanese aesthetics.
Conde House collaborates with local and international designers to produce pieces that are not only comfortable and appealing but also highly functional and minimalistic, a true mark of Japanese craftsmanship.
At the same time, Conde House uses both technology and manual work to create their products, making them personalized and one-of-a-kind.
Their products are categorized into three, depending on style: North Noble, Simple & Natural, and Advanced Classic. Each catering to different design needs of the customers.
Some of their bestselling and popular products can be viewed at their outlet in Makati. Those interested can also pre-order from the shop and can expect quick delivery time, as per CEO Nicolaas de Lange.
The Manila outlet serves as Conde House’s ninth store overseas.
