9 Movies to Watch this April 2019
From superhero movies, thrillers, to inspirational stories, there’s something for everyone this April at the cinemas. Here are some of the amazing titles that you might want to catch this summer:
Shazam
This superhero film is the latest addition to the DC Extended Universe. Shazam follows the story of the 14-year-old Billy Batson who, with the shout of the word, SHAZAM can turn into an adult and into the titular superhero.
This film has already been available in cinemas since April 5.

Friend Zone
Friend Zone is a Thai romantic comedy that follows the story of Palm who has been stuck in the titular Friend Zone with Gink, his best friend. Although Palm did try to confess to Gink, she rejected him and said that being friends was enough and thus began their years of growing close to each other as friends. Whenever Palm would find himself in a break-up with his girlfriend, Gink will tell him off and if Gink is in a fight with her boyfriend, Palm uses his perks as a flight attendant to come to her rescue wherever she is.

Missing Link
From the producers of Coraline and ParaNorman comes this stop-motion comedy film that stars Sir Lionel Frost who seeks to prove the existence of Mr. Link, a legendary creature. Frost is accompanied by Adelina Fortnight, an independent adventurer who possesses the only map to find Link.

The Healer
Originally released in 2017, The Healer follows the story of Alec Bailey who wallows in himself in gambling and womanizing after losing his twin brother. He finds refuge in his uncle, Richard who accepts to solve all of Alec’s debts with the condition that he moves to Halifax, Nova Scotia within the year to which Alec accepts after being threatened by a pawnbroker.
Upon arriving at Halifax, Alec discovers that he is “The Chosen One” that possesses the ability to heal all diseases and ailments. Alec tries to live with this new reality and finds solace in his friendship with Abigail, a 14-year-old girl with terminal cancer.

Greta
Originally released at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival, Greta is a psychological thriller that follows the story of young waitress Frances McCullen who find a handbag owned by Greta Hideg, a French widow who befriends Frances. What follows is a disturbing tale of obsession that’s brought to an end by friendship.

Breakthrough

Hellboy
