Toyota PH to Kick-Off Vios Racing Festival
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) remains true to its reputation as a long-time motorsports advocate in the country with the launch of their Vios Racing Festival 2019 happening this April.
Toyota PH upgrades motorsports program with Vios Racing Fest
TMP President Satoru Suzuki said that the festival will help in continuing the pioneering legacy of their long-running program, Vios Cup, which has brought motorsports closer to Filipino racing fans for five years now. Moreover, he mentioned that the upcoming festival will make the waku doki experience more personal by intensifying the overall experience.
Waku doki, the principle that defines Toyota’s racing program all over the world, is a Japanese term that describes the surge of emotion and joyful anticipation that one feels during thrilling and intense moments.
Vios Racing Festival 2019 will include the Vios Circuit Championship that will have racers competing at the Clark International Speedway
The Vios Racing Festival 2019 will feature two major events, sure to pump everyone up: the Vios Circuit Championship and the Vios Autocross Challenge.
The three-leg Vios Circuit Championship, which will happen on June, September, and November, will have racers conquering the tracks of Clark Speedway in Pampanga using the All-New Toyota Vios. Participants will be classified into three categories: promotional, sporting, and celebrity.
Meanwhile, the Vios Autocross Challenge will have racers in a timed competition within a specially designed obstacle course that they can share with celebrities, members of the media, and car club racers. This will be held in Metro Manila, with the goal of making the races more accessible to the public, whether as participants or spectators.
There will also be mini autocross challenges available at the end of each leg of the Vios Circuit Championship, as well as side events like Toyota test drives set-up.
Through these activities, TMP wishes to not only promote the sport but to also instill among Filipinos the importance of improving driving skills and prioritizing safety.
For this year, TMP aims to deliver the action and excitement of motorsports to an even wider audience—sharing the thrill of racing not just to car enthusiasts but to anyone who wants to experience the heart-pumping excitement of it.
