Shangri-La Plaza Has Events Lined Up for August
How quickly time flies. It seemed like we just ushered in 2018 yesterday and when you turn around, it’s already August! Soon enough, we’ll ourselves attend parties left and right and swamped with holiday chores.
Time won’t slow down so do your best to enjoy this month, besides, there are three public holidays this August. If you still don’t have anything planned this month, Shangri-La Plaza has you covered.
Watch and sing along to favorite throwback hits as legendary American singer John Ford Coley conquers the stage on August 12, 7 pm at the Grand Atrium/IMAGE Shangri-La Plaza
John Ford Coley will serenade fans with hits such as I’d Really Love to See You Tonight and It’s Sad to Belong on August 12, 7 p.m. at the Grand Atrium.
If soft rock ballads aren’t your thing, you can catch breakout indie band IV of Spades. Jam out to their retro-inspired tunes Barbara, Mundo, and a couple of others.

Does shopping make you hungry? There’s the Urban Pod Fair from August 3 to 5 at the East Atrium where mall guests can discover unique local finds. Veggie-inclined foodies can enjoy good food from local farmers, organic food producers, and chefs in Garden Gourmet at the Food Forum from August 24 to 26 (there’ll be another one from August 31 to September 2).
If you’re feeling artsy, head to the Grand Atrium on August 4 for Sakura: Coloring the Future by National Bookstore.
From August 10 to 12 and again from August 17 to 19, empty your wallets for stirring artworks, handcrafts, and heavenly food selections courtesy of the Artisan Fair at the Food Forum. If you’re looking for some well-curated collection of unique local novelties, there will be an Urban Pod Fair from August 30 to September 2.
Get inspiration for a home make-over at the Shang’s Home Exhibit from August 15 to 23 at the Grand Atrium. After that, dig for unique urban finds in Articraft de Charite from August 24 to 26 at the East Atrium.
Lose yourself as you go through the Astrologist Gallery Exhibit at the East Atrium from Aug 11 to 21.
There’s no need to leave your fur babies behind either because it’s Waggy Welcome! Your beloved pets are welcome to roam the mall as long as you’ve got proof of anti-rabies vaccination and keep them leashed with you at all times.
