Chesa Bianca Celebrates Swiss National Day 2018 with Gastronomic Tour
It was August 1, 1291, when three states of Switzerland, termed “cantons”of Schwyz, Unterwalden, and Uri, formed a coalition as a 360-degree turn from the power greedy Habsburgs. This was when the Swiss Confederation was established, giving birth to the Swiss National Day, celebrated since 1891 every first of August.
Now, the historical day of the alliance is commemorated through community gatherings comprised of various musical entertainments, parades, construction of food kiosks, and the much-awaited fireworks display, as the high-point of the celebration.
This year, Chesa Bianca Swiss Restaurant, located along Yakal Street in Makati, takes part in this celebration by offering to walk its loyal customers through Swiss cooking in A Gastronomic Tour Through Switzerland.
