Cavite to Manila Ferry Aims to Ease Travel Time
Cavite is an emerging urban center outside Metro Manila and is also the most populous province in the Philippines. Most Caviteños are employed in offices in Metro Manila, and heavy traffic towards the metropolis poses a challenge to these residents every morning. This, however, may soon be a thing of the past as a river ferry that will connect Noveleta, Cavite, and Intramuros, Manila through a ferry system is set to operate in June.

The agreement for the Cavite-Pasig River Ferry System was enacted to provide Caviteños an easier way of getting from Noveleta to Intramuros. It includes the construction, maintenance, and operation of the ferry terminal along the banks of the Pasig River in Intramuros. Signatories include the Intramuros Administration, the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC), the Municipality of Noveleta, and Cavite Superferry Transport Inc., who inked the MOA last January 19 at Plaza Mexico in Intramuros.
The Intramuros Administration also plans to secure and encourage operators of electronic tricycles or e-trikes to place them within the vicinity of the ferry terminal once constructed, giving passengers an easy way to get in and out of the terminal.
