  • PAL earns 4-star rating, eyes 5 stars in 2020
  • Philippine Airlines (PAL) is now certified with the 4-Star Airline Rating by the globally recognized international air transport rating organization, Skytrax, making it the country’s first-ever 4-star airline. The 4-Star Plaque was awarded to PAL leaders and representatives last February 8 at the Crowne Plaza Singapore.

Skytrax recognized PAL’s improvements in terms of product change and development and front-line staff service enhancement, especially noting that “new and retrofitted aircraft have played an important part in the quality improvement process.” Over the last two years, the Philippine flag carrier has greatly worked towards the upgrading of its products and services and the expansion of its fleet and network as part of its Get That Star journey and in line with its brand philosophy as being the “Heart of the Filipino,” which were both launched in 2016.

Since 2016, PAL has brought its fleet count up to 88 and its international destinations (from Manila) up to 44. It also continues to embody Filipino hospitality through its quality cabin staff service.

In PAL’s Get That Star program, which was launched in 2016, the airline had targeted the end of 2017 to achieve a 4-star rating. Now, the airline has its eyes set on a 5-star rating in 2020.
