Two Filipino athletes to compete in 2018 Winter Olympics
Filipino athletes Michael Martinez and Asa Miller will be carrying the Philippine flag in the ongoing 2018 Winter Olympics being held in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Martinez, who will be representing the Philippines in the figure skating category, is replacing Swedish skater Alexander Majorov who pulled out from the competition.
On the other hand, Asa Miller will be competing in the alpine skiing event. The 17-year old Miller was also Philippines’ flag bearer during the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics held last February 9.

Martinez is scheduled to compete on February 16 at 9 am while Miller on February 18.
The 2018 Winter Olympics is currently ongoing which started from February 9 and ends on February 25. This year marks the first time for South Korea to host the said multisport event that will feature 102 events in 15 different sports.
