  • Are you looking for a place to celebrate Chinese New Year? Why not go directly to the world’s oldest Chinatown, which is in Binondo Manila. This Friday, there will be a Chinese New Year Countdown at Lucky Chinatown. As we welcome the Year of the Earth Dog, we can expect lots of surprises and promos at the countdown.

The event will last until February 18, with different activities in store. Performances of various local bands are set to happen on February 15. Musicians such as Bamboo and Orange and Lemons will light up Lucky Chinatown together with Reese Lansangan, Autotelic, Kaye Cal, and celebrity magician, the “Quick Mask Artist” Tito Cris Castro, cultural performances with a LED Lion Dance and a grand fireworks display.

On February 16, Silent Sanctuary and Soapdish will take to the stage followed by a Feng Shui Forecast seminar with Johnson Chua. Expect traditional rituals such as dragon dances and more. Guests will be serenaded by Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona on February 17, 2018, together with singer-songwriter Caleb Santos and boyband The Juans.

On February 18, a dog fashion show will take place, called Barking in Style. A performance from Sponge Cola and a Feng Shui talk with Master Hans Cua will follow.
