  • Paramount select a Pinoy Artist’s Tribute Poster for mother!
  • A Pinoy artist’s tribute to the movie m o t h e r! has been selected by Paramount as its theatrical poster. Filipino Edz Gatdula’s poster was selected from a pool of 12 as the poster for the movie. Gatdula started at Talenthouse a few months ago before Paramount and Talenthouse took notice of his artwork.

Gadtula, however, still stays humble and grateful despite the attention he has received. The poster holds the essence of the movie while still fitting in with the story. “As I saw the promotional poster of the movie, the first thing that came up in my mind is to use the ESSENCE of a classical art nouveau for my poster, but in a simpler form by having a limited color palette and flat shades, which I normally do in most of my artwork,” Gatdula explained in an article from Inquirer Pop!.

In a recent interview, director Darren Aronofsky said he is thinking about making an opera for Mother!. Last month, the trailer for the movie has been released, it is riveting and interesting to watch so make sure to drop by the cinemas.

mother! is a psychological thriller film by Darren Aronofsky, and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, and Michelle Pfeiffer. It talks about a couple’s relationship dilemma when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their peace. mother! is distributed in the Philippines by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.
