  • Celebrate Unagi Festival at Unakichi Japanese Unagi Restaurant in Makati
  • Unakichi is inviting everyone for their Special Unagi Days happening on July 25 (Tuesday) and August 6 (Sunday)!

Unagi festival has been a tradition for the Japanese that was said to have started during the Edo period, around 1603 to 1868. People from

Japanese enjoy eating unagi (eel) on the doyo-no-ushi-no-hi of summer which became a Japanese custom.

Unakichi specializes in serving unagi or eel. Freshness and authenticity are always guaranteed here as Unakichi gets their eel directly from the same farms that Japanese restaurants get their eels from. Combine their fresh eel with a special unagi sauce from a 100-year-old unagi restaurant in Tsukiji and put these in the hands of two excellent Japanese chefs and you have the best-tasting unagi in the metro.
