  • Stay connected and entertained even in midair: Reintroducing myPAL
  • Flying has always given people a lot of pleasure, whether they’re doing it for work or for vacation. However, today’s world places an undue demand to stay connected, mostly via your mobile phone.

There’s been a persistent call from a lot of people that one should not use a mobile phone during a flight, though that has since been reduced to just take-off and landing. Almost everyone uses their phones inflight to keep themselves occupied especially on long haul flights. Offline mobile games and movies downloaded from the internet allow you to keep their phones on airplane mode while still being able to entertain yourself.

Philippine Airlines, however, is changing the game you entertain yourself inflight thanks to myPAL.

    What is myPAL?

myPAL is a service you can get on select Philippine Airlines flights which will allow you to make/take phone calls, send/receive text messages, watch movies, TV shows, play games, listen to music, or simply surf the web.

There are four parts that we know of to myPAL: Mobile, eSuite, Player, and Wifi. Flights marked with logos for each service will let you use myPAL for that trip.

    myPAL Mobile

myPAL Mobile is your key to staying connected even when you’re at cruising altitude. As long as your mobile plan includes international roaming, you won’t have any problems using this service for calls, texts, and even mobile data.

NO WIFI? Here’s a visual guide on how you can use myPAL Mobile:

    myPAL eSuite

Inflight entertainment has always been seen as a bit lacking, regardless of which airline you’re with. Rather than eat up time before the trip in trying to find movies or games, myPAL eSuite give you inflight entertainment by giving you access to the best movies, TV shows, games, and music!

Got kids? You can keep them busy with the Little PALs option!

    myPAL Player

Want to watch what you can from eSuite, yet the device is currently locked in one of your mates’ hands? Then download the myPAL player app from the Apple Store or Google Play before you fly.

The myPAL Player lets you enjoy movies, TV shows, and music that the eSuite has right from the comfort of your own device. Just make sure the flight you’re in has the myPAL Player logo inside your plane.

    myPAL Wifi

One last thing to remember when you’re on a PAL flight: look for a myPAL Wifi sticker inflight and stay up to date with all your social media accounts, emails, and any websites you monitor – all while you’re in airplane mode.

myPAL Wifi lets you surf the internet for a certain fee while in the air. Just follow the instructions in the video or keep this visual guide handy:
