In a report by The Philippine Star, this partnership between the Sy-led bank and the Japanese Seven Bank would allow people in Japan to easily transfer money to the Philippines. This can be done by simply downloading the “Seven Bank International Money Transfer” application on their smart phones. This service also complements BDO’s money transfer facility BDO Remit where Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) can receive and withdraw money sent from abroad.

Another feature would be the Cash Pick-Up Anywhere, where beneficiaries can claim money in more than 8,000 locations nationwide, 1,100 BDO branches, BDO Remit couriers, rural banks, and pawnshop partners.

Once the app is already launched, customers can now conveniently do money transfers to BDO Unibank accounts through mobile phones.
