  • Flavors of the Philippines 2017, the month-long nationwide gastronomic celebration organized by the Department of Tourism (DoT) and the Tourism Promotion Board (TPB) unite retail giants in the country to create cultural bridges through food, gastronomy being one of the best Philippine travel “destinations.”

    This April, prepare for a wider range of activities that will tickle your taste buds. Check out these activities for this month by participating malls as part of the Flavors of the Philippines.

    VISTA MALLS 

    With a wide array of delectable cuisine to choose from and the enchanting sunset view of Laguna de Bay, Sunset Grill at Vista Mall Lakefront in Sucat is a perfect destination to chill and unwind this April. At Vista Mall in Bacoor and Imus, the Food Walk presents an array of local food delights, while Vista Mall Sta. Rosa presents native delicacies and export-quality on April 16 to 23.

     

    MEGAWORLD LIFESTYLE MALLS 

    From vegan, to organic, to all natural selections, Lucky Chinatown Railings in Binondo has got you covered with delicious and healthy food offerings in this fair slated for the entire month of April.

    Eastwood Mall, on the other hand, presents the Cheese and Deli Festival, a special fair of local and imported cheeses and prepared meats such as sausages, hams, and salamis. Head over to Eastwood on all Fridays and weekends of April to get your salty and savory fix.

    Taste the World at Eastwood City for three days, various treats from all over the world will be on display at the Eastwood Open Park from April 21 to 23.

    Also lined up until the end of this month are Coco Fest and Flame by Megaworld Corporation. Coco Fest is being held at Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila wherein participating tenants offer coconut infused dishes, desserts and refreshments. Flame, on the other hand, is an off-the-menu flambé dishes created exclusively for this fair by Uptown Bonifacio’s critically acclaimed chefs.

     

    STARMALL

    Sugba, Tuwa, Kilaw, or any way you want it, there is something for you at Stamall Talisay’s Sutukil on all Fridays and Saturdays of April. Complement your good food with equally good music and you will get a night cap like no other.

     

    SM PREMIER MALLS AND SUPERMALLS

    The Flavors of the Regions continue to pervade at all SM Malls as it hosts this month the regional and town adaptation of Flavors of the Philippines such as Flavors of Cordilleras, Flavors of Tarlac, Flavors of Nueva Ecija, Sugbo Flavors, Flavors of Northern Mindanao, Flavors of Davao, Flavors of Soccsksargen and Flavors of Negros.

     

    AYALA MALLS

    Satisfy your cravings whether it’s meaty or vegan with participating restaurants at Ayala Malls. Chef Margarita Fores’ Lusso, Via Mare and Manam give us meaty offerings ranging from Jamon Iberico to crispy adobo to pancit sisig, while Fores’ Cibo and Green Pastures serve alternative choices for those who prefer a healthier lifestyle.

    Greek-themed restaurant Cyma also participates on this fair with their menu offering called Yiouvetsi (Greek Paella) Festival. Branches are in EDSA Shangri-La, Greenbelt, TriNoma, and the Terraces in Cebu.
