Mindanao is all set for its first world-class waterpark: Seven Seas Waterpark and Resort
With summer practically in the horizon, waterparks will soon be packed with vacationers. There are several waterparks scattered across the country, but a recent addition might just top them all… and it’s nowhere near Metro Manila.
Seven Seas Waterpark and Resort is set to become Mindanao’s first-ever world class waterpark. Set in the town of Opol, Misamis Oriental, it’s a huge waterpark that can accommodate up to 2,000 guests daily. Full details have yet to be disclosed about the resort, but here’s what we’ve gathered so far:
- It will be both kid and adult-friendly, with a 12-meter high slide called the Backyard Funnel Tornado Water Slide, a pool called the Aqua Playhouse Pool, a “Slow River Ride”, a water combo wave pool, a children’s pool, an events tent, and more.
- It will be accessible by air (via the Laguindingan International Airport, roughly an hour away), land (through the Bulua/Agora Bus Terminals in Cagayan De Oro), and sea (via Macabalan Sea Port, about 30 minutes away).
- It will be operated by the same people who gave birth to Bukidnon’s Dahilayan Adventure Park and Cagayan De Oro’s Great White Water Tours.
No opening date has been announced, but management has continually teased the public about the resort through their official Facebook page.
If you’re ever headed that far south, this waterpark will surely be a great place to go with family and friends. Will it be on your itinerary once it opens? Let us know in the comments section.
