  • This March 11 to April 30, journey with the Filipinos as “Flavors of the Philippines” takes you through a trip where you’ll get to meet the diverse offerings of Filipino cuisine.

    In a press release by the Department of Tourism, “Flavors of the Philippines” aims to present our country to all food lovers in the world as a hub for different flavor profiles even those of foreign origins, while establishing our country as center of culinary excellence in Asia. This cultural and food festival shall hold activities including local food festivals, cook-off challenges, food trucks, food bazaars, farmers’ market tours among many other lined-up events.

    According to Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo, “this year’s Flavors of the Philippines is a longer, grander, and more delicious food journey nationwide. This will go on an all-in-one enriching celebration of Philippine history, arts, culture, tradition, literature, and music through the language of food.”

    As seen in the video, various renowned chefs from the Philippines introduced some of the best native dishes in the different provinces in the Philippines. Expect more from Flavors of the Philippines as you join a gastronomic road trip around the country.
