Endeavor Philippines names new high-impact entrepreneurs in 69th ISP
Two new entrepreneurs namely Mikko Perez and Simon Bakker have been recognized as the 9th and 10th Philippine-based high impact entrepreneurs at Endeavor Philippines.
Endeavor Philippines is a “global organization that selects, mentors, and accelerates High-Impact entrepreneurs.” In their 69th International Selection Panel held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, two NEW Philippine-based entrepreneurs were named to be part of the organization, namely financial technology entrepreneur Mikko Perez and entrepreneur Simon Bakker.
Perez, co-founder of mobile instant messaging Chikka and Ayannah, built with his team of engineers SendahTM, which according to Endeavor was an “electronic platform that gives unbanked Filipinos easy access to a suite of financial products and services.” On the other hand, Simon Bakker is a Dutch national who co-founded Enderun Colleges in Manila, and is now in the cacao industry with Kennemer Foods International, a “business based on buying cacao beans from Filipino farmers.”
Being part of Endeavor Philippines entitles Perez and Bakker to access Endeavor’s global network to help them in their business, as per Rappler’s article. Notable entrepreneurs of Endeavor include ABS-CBN Corporation chairman Gabby Lopez, Jaime Zobel de Ayala of Ayala Corp., and Reid Hoffman of LinkedIn.
