PAL expands domestic coverage with 5 new routes
Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) re-asserted itself as the country’s premier airline with the addition of five new domestic routes from the Mactan-Cebu International Airport within the first quarter of 2017.

PAL recently opened its Cebu-Clark route last January 30, starting with four flights a week. This will be increased to daily flights starting March 26, the same day PAL opens four more routes from Cebu.
PAL started using Clark as a hub for their flight operations back in December of 2016 with a Clark-Caticlan service, later followed by the first international flight, Clark-Incheon, on January 1.
PAL’s first Cebu-Clark flight gets a ceremonial water cannon salute prior to take off at Mactan Cebu International Airport.
Joining the Cebu-Clark flights will be direct flights to Puerto Princesa (four times a week), General Santos City (three times a week), Surigao (three times a week), and Coron (daily). Flights to Puerto Princesa and General Santos will use the 156-seater A320 aircraft. Flights to Surigao will use the 76-seater Q400, while those to Coron will use the Q300.
These new routes expand PAL’s reach to a total of 12 domestic points, apart from Manila, that are linked to Cebu.
“We are introducing new domestic routes to allow travelers to reach their desired destinations without the need to transit in Manila. Passengers get to experience the unique PAL brand of service even on short flights,” said PAL President and COO Jaime J. Bautista.
