83% of Filipinos give major approval, trust to Pres. Duterte
In a report published by Pulse Asia Research Inc., President Rodrigo R. Duterte earns 83% of Filipinos’ approval and trust amidst various controversies involving him and his administration.

Based on the December 2016 Nationwide Survey on Presidential Performance and Trust Ratings, across geographic areas and socio-economic classes, Filipinos in Mindanao are most inclined to approve of and trust the President with 91% and 92% approval and big trust ratings, respectively.
Meanwhile, with a margin of error of ±3 percent, Duterte’s latest approval and trust ratings were almost the same as the rating from the September survey of 86%.
The recent nationwide survey was conducted from December 6 – 11, 2016 using face-to-face interviews with 1,200 representative adults, 18 years old and above.
