Shakey’s V-League to be renamed to Philippine V-League
Shakey’s V-League will be renamed to Philippine V-League as it enters its 14th season March next year. This, according to Ricky Palou of the organizing Sports Vision, is only one of the many changes that the league will be having for the coming year.
Its top presentor, Shakey’s Pizza, however, will still remain to either be a presentor or a major sponsor of the said league.
The league will also be starting next year’s season with the Reinforced Conference, an import-spiced event, instead of the traditional Open Conferences starting March. The Open Conference will then be held in July, and the Collegiate Conference in the latter part of the year as they want it to be closest to the NCAA and UAAP season.
They will also be bringing back The Spiker’s Turf in PVL’s men’s division as it had generated interest from people in the 2 season it had been existing. Like the PVl, Palou said that they want to keep it as an annual thing like the Philippine V-League.
