For the first time, Okada Manila – a soon-to-rise luxury hotel and casino in Aseana City, Paranaque – opened its doors to the public in a preview party held on Wednesday, December 21. The event, which was open to everyone for free, was attended by people of all kinds who want to check out the place, most especially their casino.
The event was held at Okada Manila’s Bayside Festival Grounds.
In celebration of the season of giving, Okada Manila also treated its visitors with performances from some of the brightest OPM stars today including Bamboo, Lani Misalucha, and Regine Velasquez who performed the hits that made everyone fall in love.
Food trucks were also present in the event, offering the visitors a taste of their bestsellers for free. Some of the trucks present in the event were: The Cheese Steak Shop, Mio Gelato, Sugar Trails, and La Lola Churros. People were also given free bottles of water, and may also get free beer in Okada’s events area.
People line up for food as they await for the artists to come onstage.
The highlight of the night, aside from the performances, was the magnificent fireworks display and laser lights show which lit up the December sky. The said spectacle was so bright that it was seen from Quezon City.
Okada Manila also gave everyone a sneak peek of their casino, said to be the largest one in the country. Although it still wasn’t fully operational, there will still some table games which can still be used by some.
Because there weren’t any parking spaces available and drop-offs were also not allowed, Okada provided free shuttle services to visitors who wanted to go to and from the venue. The pick-up and drop-off location was at SM Mall of Asia’s parking lot.
The grand opening date of the hotel and casino has still not been announced, but they also held 2 more nights of preview events, on December 22 and 23, which featured performances from some of the country’s freshest artists.
