Miss Puerto Rico is Miss World 2016!
Puerto Rico’s Stephanie del Valle is crowned Miss World 2016 in the coronation night held on Sunday, December 18 (Monday morning in the Philippines), at the MGM National Harbor in Maryland, USA. Filipino pride Catriona Gray was also among the top 5 candidates, winning one of the pre-pageant awards in Multimedia.

Joining Valle in the Top 5 are: Dominican Republic’s Yaritza Miguelina Reyes Ramirez, who finished in 2nd place; Indonesia’s Natasha Mannuela, finishing in 3rd; Kenya’s Evelyn Njambi Thungu; Philippines’ very own Catriona Gray.
The pageant also recognized and gave awards to candidates who excelled in various categories in the competition. Here are the awards and the winners:
- Top Model: People’s Republic of China, Jing Kong
- Multimedia: Philippines, Catriona Gray
- Sport: Cook Islands, Natalia Short
- Talent: Mongolia, Bayarsetseg Altangerel
- Beauty with a Purpose: Indonesia, Natasha Mannuela
