Manila Symphony Orchestra performs Beethoven’s 9th Symphony for season finale
As one of Asia’s oldest symphony orchestras, the Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO) performed live as they celebrated their 90th anniversary and the 60th anniversary commemoration of diplomatic relations between Japan and Philippines in Meralco Theater on December 14.

The said concert was attended by more than a thousand audiences who witnessed amazing performances. There were three Japanese guests who serenaded the crowd with beautiful music namely Hiroko Sato, a pianist; Tatsuya Higuchi, a tenor; and Yuichi Toyoshima, baritone.

There were also powerful performances by Margarita Gianneli, a soprano, and Camille Lopez Molina, a mezzo soprano. To end the show, the MSO performed a local Christmas hit “Ang Pasko ay Sumapit” which the audience truly enjoyed. The orchestra was led by Maestro Arturo Molina.
