Manila Symphony Orchestra performs Beethoven’s 9th Symphony for season finale

As one of Asia’s oldest symphony orchestras, the Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO) performed live as they celebrated their 90^th anniversary and the 60^th anniversary commemoration of diplomatic relations between Japan and Philippines in Meralco Theater on December 14.

The said concert was attended by more than a thousand audiences who witnessed amazing performances. There were three Japanese guests who serenaded the crowd with beautiful music namely Hiroko Sato, a pianist; Tatsuya Higuchi, a tenor; and Yuichi Toyoshima, baritone.

There were also powerful performances by Margarita Gianneli, a soprano, and Camille Lopez Molina, a mezzo soprano. To end the show, the MSO performed a local Christmas hit “Ang Pasko ay Sumapit” which the audience truly enjoyed. The orchestra was led by Maestro Arturo Molina.
