Martial Law victims and protesters will be marching along the streets of Manila on November 25 to show their stand on the issue regarding former President Marcos’ burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. People who will be joining the demonstration entitled “National Day of Unity and Rage” are expected to converge at the Luneta Park by 4:00 pm where programs and events will be held. This event is organized by the group Campaign Against the Return of the Marcoses in Malacanang (CARMMA).
Aside from the grand rally at Luneta, Anti-Marcos groups are expected to assemble in various points in Manila before they all head to the main venue.
In connection with this, heavy traffic is to be expected in roads that are nearest the said landmarks and assembly points. Here are the areas you should avoid on November 25 if you don’t want to find yourself stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic:
- Luneta Park, Roxas Blvd Ermita, Barangay 666 Zone 72, Manila
- Taft Avenue, Manila
- Liwasang Bonifacio, Magallanes Dr, Ermita, Manila
- Plaza Miranda, FR Hidalgo St, Quiapo, Manila
- University Belt, Manila
Aside from grand rally happening in Manila, there will also be simultaneous mass actions happening in various points in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Protests and rallies will also be held on November 30, Bonifacio Day, at the People Power Monument, and will be organized by the Coalition Against Marcos’ Burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (CAMB-LNMB).
