  • In a report published by The Standard, a $50-billion airport and seaport project plan off the coast of Sangley Point in Cavite was already signed by the Belle and Solar Group’s All-Asia Resources and Reclamation Corp. (ARRC).

    The shareholders’ agreement was signed last October 29, 2016 for the “Philippine Global Gateway Project.”

    According to ARRC, the proposed plan is to develop an integrated and multi-modal transport and logistics hub composed of an airport, seaport, and Special Economic Zone (SEZ). It also targets the rehabilitation of the existing Danilo Atienza Airbase for commercial use of General Aviation (GA) and Low-Cost Carrier (LCC).

    According to Philippine Star, the proponents said that they are targeting to have the project operational before the end of the term of President Duterte in 2022.
