Data shown on the MMDA website that out of the 265 vehicular accidents daily in Metro Manila, 30 of it involves motorcycle riders. Based on the Road Crash Statistical Report from January to April 2016, a total of 7,033 motorcycle accidents were recorded.

The MMDA, along with the Motorcycle Philippine Federation had already done trial runs last weekend to orient and familiarize motorcycle riders on the said policy.

Also, they will be flagging down motorcycles with no signal lights or side mirrors.
