According to Inquirer’s report, DOST Secretary Fortunato Dela Peña said “We would like to pursue new areas, not necessarily new in the global sense, but as far as local research and development is concerned, and that is in the field of AI and space technology,” in a research conference held two weeks ago.
This plan is being started as DOST engages in various research and development institutions. Through the use of artificial intelligence, there will be an optimization of mass production of goods in the Philippines as per Raul Sabularse, deputy executive director of DOST-Philippine Council for Industry Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development.
