Manny Pacquiao is the new WBO Welterweight Champion

Filipinos are celebrating as Filipino boxing champion and Senator, Manny Pacquio defeated Jessie Vargas last November 6 (Sunday, Philippine Time) in Las Vegas, Nevada via unanimous decision.
The highly anticipated fight against Pacquiao (37) and Vargas (27) is an awaited fight due to a ten year gap between the opponents. But Pacquiao gave out much intensity and energy round after round. During the second round, Pacquiao caught Vargas and threw on a straight left punch but Vargas got up quickly. Though Vargas had a difficulty dealing with Pacquiao’s speed, he was willing to throw punches as much as he can.
On the last round, Pacquiao dominated the ring which led him to victory via unanimous decision earning 118-109, 114-113 and 118-109
Their 12-round clash packed with thrilling punches and combinations from the two boxers hyped the almost 17,000-strong crowd at the jampacked Thomas & Mack Center. Not only did Pacquiao wins the new WBO Welterweight Champion but he is also the first legislator to become a champion in the ring.
