In a news published by ABS-CBN, a transportation official said that a new terminal building is set to rise in Clark airport in Pampanga, and will serve as an alternative to the overcrowded terminal in Manila. It is set to be finished in the middle of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s term.
According to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority President, Vince Dizon, the terminal is among infrastructure projects that the government is rushing to finish before Duterte steps down in 2022, and will start the building by the the middle of next year.
The project will be offered for bidding in the first or second quarter of next year. Dizon also added the terminal was designed by France’s Aeroport De Paris, an airport authority that owns and manages 14 civil airport and airfields in Paris, including Charles de Gaulle International Airport, Orly Airport and Le Bourget Airport.
