Christmas season is fast approaching and so is the worst traffic in the coming days; thus the need of immediate solutions for the convenience of the daily commuters.

Last Friday, October 7, 2016, Interagency Council on Traffic (I-ACT), a super body created in August by the Duterte administration to coordinate traffic-related measure, and mall operators in Metro Manila have agreed that there will no longer be mall sales on all weekdays of October 21, 2016 until January 9, 2017. Therefore, all mall sales will strictly be scheduled on Saturday and Sunday only to help alleviate traffic in the busy street of Metro Manila.

A meeting between I-ACT and mall operators will be held on October 13 (Thursday) to discuss the possibility of a 12:00 mn to 5:00 am product deliveries. Also, a late-opening and late-closing scheme (11:00 am to 11:00 pm) for malls is at stake.

Tell us what you think about this traffic scheme.
