A media launch was held earlier today at the Green Sun Hotel to get fans even more excited for the fifth season of the Race. Present at the event were the two teams from the Philippines: beauty queens Maggie Wilson and Parul Shah, and married couple Rona and Eric Tai.
GO TEAM PHILIPPINES! Back in Season 4, the Philippine pair of Richard Hererra and Richard Hardin became the first team from the Philippines to win the Race. Cheer on our teams as they race around Asia for US$100,000! Also at the event were Georgette Tengco, AXN Networks Philippines Director and Business Head, and Ang Hui Keng, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia, who’s also known as HK Ang. Both Tengco and HK Ang thanked their primary partners for The Amazing Race Asia Season 5, namely the Ministry of Tourism Indonesia, Garuda Indonesia, Grab, and Great Eastern.
