  • The local government of Quezon City is set to activate its own emergency hotline soon, after 6 years of setting up its own emergency and information helpline.

    HOTLINE 122. Quezon City is launching its own emergency hotline 122 this October

    Apart from the national hotline for government complaints (8888) and emergency hotline 911, residents, visitors, and those in transit within Quezon City can now dial 122 where they will be directed to the city’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

    As reported by GMA News, the calls will be regulated by various law enforcement and frontline service units such as the Quezon City Police District, Bureau of Fire Protection, the QC Department of Public Order and Safety, QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, QC Radio Communications Service and the QC Public Affairs and Information Services Office.

    The hotline, which is being set-up for 6 years now, shall be launched this October with city mayor Herbert Bautista. The said hotline is part of the emergency services capability upgrade, according to QC Department of Public Order and Safety chief Elmo San Diego.

    Emergency hotline 122 will be operational 24/7.
